The closing ceremony of the first international conference on “Iran-Afghanistan Cultural Dialogue” has been held on December 5, 2016 in the Center for International Research and Education of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was attended by some political, academic and cultural officials of Iran and Afghanistan.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ahmad Ahmadi, the member of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and the President of SAMT, referring to the state of Persian Literature and Language as well as the rich mutual culture of Iran and Afghanistan, said due to his personal interest in Afghanistan and its brave, religious and smart people, he has done his best in SAMT organization to provide the universities of Afghanistan with the university textbooks.
“Providing more than 800 university textbooks and publishing 59 books of Afghanistan’s professors by SAMT, donating more than 60 books to the libraries, scientific and research centers and the universities of Afghanistan, holding 5 book exhibitions and opening SAMT organization’s agency in Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif are among the activities we have done in Afghanistan. I’m so happy that these kinds of activities are welcomed by academics of Afghanistan and we are ready to cooperate with them same as before”, Dr. Ahmadi added.
