SAMT published the first university textbook in Italian language

The Organization for Researching and Composing University textbooks in the Humanities (SAMT) in collaboration with the Council for the Promotion and Development of the Humanities has published the book "New Sweet Style in the Literature of Iran and Italy" in Italian language. During a ceremony, held on December 18, 2018, on the occasion of the Research Week in SAMT organization, the book was unveiled and the author of the work was praised.


The book "New Sweet Style in the Literature of Iran and Italy: A Comparative Study" is the first academic research in the field of comparative literature in the Middle Ages of Iran and Italy, published in the form of a book in Iran, and on the other hand, it is the first university research book released in Italian language in Iran. This research explores the common themes of literary creation and thoughtfulness of the greatest Iranian and Italian speakers in the golden age of lyric literature of both countries and it has tried to discover the emergence of a new style of two countries during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries through  identifying  the sources influenced it simultaneously or in different times.

 The research has focused on speakers such as Dante and Cavalcanti in the Italian literature and has studied the sources of imagination and their rhetorical styles along with the prominent Persian poets such as Hafez.

 The final achievement of this research is following and identifying the similar sources influenced the emergence of some specific themes of Persian and Italian poetry in the Middle Ages.
